About us
A love of gardening was fostered by my family, building vegetable gardens with my father at 7 and tending flower beds and potting Orchids with my mum and grandmother.
I worked for many years in film and photography which has given me a strong eye for composition, an appreciation of layers and light within the garden, and a joy in the smaller details that can be easily missed in our native flora. I decided to persue my love of plants and desire to create gardens in 2007 studying horticulture, landscape construction and design.
Along with trusted plantsmen and women who dedicate their lives to collecting and fostering our rare and endangered species, I incorporate a diverse range of native plants within my gardens.
Every site is surveyed and planted with specific plants that will thrive without having to be overly managed with sprays and artificial fetilizers.
Many plants have been lost or overlooked within the Auckland region and I enjoy opportunities to foster these lost plant communities, along with a focus on associations of plants, encouraging natural eco systems, and creating habitats from micro organisms in soils, to those for insects and bird life.
